Frank Winters > Fisherman's Chair at Burge's Pond. The pond is in the center of East Boston Camps and is a nice spot for walking around (there is a very natural trail close to it that hugs the pond) or fishing. Someone left a chair -- what a great place to sit and enjoy the morning! "April is the crulest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring dull roots with spring rain." -- T.S. Eliot, from The Waste Land
Frank Winters > Snake Meadow Brook. The Snake Meadow Brook Trail is short yet it has the feeling of a mountain pass. It starts at Gould Road and proceeds along pastureland, then gets rocky as it goes into the woods besides the brook, ending at a glacial ledge. Walk there and see how the land has been chiseled by time. "What makes a brook or river so special? ... Rivers and brooks are special simply because they are brook, and they are rivers" -- Hal Borland

Frank Winters > Misty Nashoba pond at sunrise. This is in the Emmet Conservation Land. Cover photo and month of October. "There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lightened on, and produce so pleasant an effect on the feelings, as now in October."

Frank Winters > A sepia toned antique, this photo shows Stony Brook in East Boston Camps after a March snow storm. This is from the walk way that skirts the brook and is one of the best places for a walk in Westford.
