Frank Winters  > Landscapes > Westford 2006 Calendar Art
This gallery has the photos used in the 2006 calendar published by the Westford Conservation Trust.

The Westford Conservation Trust was established in 1984 for the purpose of preserving open space and other natural resources. Westford is a beautiful town and is committed to a balance between development and conservation. The calendar was prepared to illustrate some of the results of that commitment.

The Westford Conservation Trust is a not for profit, volunteer organization that is supported solely by private contributions.

Frank Winters > Frances Hill Conservation Land (The July photo in The Westford Conservation Trust's 2006 calendar)

From Westford Trails: “The old deed mentions Orchard Pasture, Rowdle Towdle, Gideon Pasture and Spaulding Pasture, but there are no pastures here now. The land is completely wooded, mainly with oak, maple, ash, and white pine.”

“I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

From Walden by Henry David Thoreau.
Frank Winters > Grassy Pond Mid-fall. The colors are beginning to fade but are still very beautiful during late October 2004. This photo was taken while the sun was setting by including the fading sun in the photo. The scene seems etched with a timelessness that fleeting moments sometimes have. This is the photo used for October in the westford Conservation Trust's 2006 calendar,
Frank Winters > A Frog. Photo taken in a Westford pond. A supplementary photo for he month of October.
Frank Winters > A trail in the Frances Hill Wildlife Santuary, Westford Massachusetts. This is the December 2005 primary photo in the Westford Conservation Trust's 2006 calendar. (The calendar starts with that month in order to bridge the years.)
